Our YWAM Team
Our YWAM team members have all completed the YWAM-DTS (Discipleship Training School) and each is responsible to raise personal financial support. Each one has many years of experience in ministry and is here to serve our ministries, schools and volunteers. If you have completed a YWAM-DTS and are interested in joining us please contact us. We are always looking for people who share our vision and mission and are called of God to Guatemala.
Bruce completed his DTS at YWAM Chico, CA in 2003 and was part of the group of 7 that came to Guatemala in 2005 to establish a permanent base. He became part of the training programs at the base and has served as the Base director and currently is the President of the Association CEMAS, the legal organization that provides the covering for YWAM Antigua.
Susy has been on staff since 2014 and is one of the main interpreters for the ministry. She has served as an administrative assistant and has been involved in training the moms and children that come to the base each week. She completed her DTS in Cartegena, Columbia.
Karin is from Germany and came to the USA after she finished her school, doing her DTS in New Hampshire and a School of Evangelism in Florida. Joe is from Virginia, USA and found Jesus while studying to be an engineer. He worked in Florida where he met Karin and went to Germany for his DTS in 1990. They got married in Germany where she worked as a nurse and Joe became a pastor. Their children are Samuel, Sarah and Joshua where born.
In 2003 they were sent out by their church with Globe Mission to serve in Peru for 6 years. In 2010 they came to Guatemala to work with a church in Ciudad Vieja and since January of 2016 they have been staff with us.
