We are moving forward with many new endeavors in the new year. The biggest event so far has been the merging of the two YWAM bases to become one base with two operating locations: Antigua and Guatemala City. This will enable both locations to have more people working in the ministries and being able to use both facilities for schools, teams and volunteers. Each location has different ministries in their communities. Now that the Covid 19 virus is on the decline we have been able to restart ministries that were on hold during the pandemic. We are praying that Covid will disappear and that we will be able to recruit many students and teams for our different schools and ministries.
We now have 16 full time volunteers working at the two locations. We are always looking for more Ywamers that have a passion to serve in Guatemala, the land of eternal spring. If you have completed a YWAM-DTS we encourage you to pray about joining us in the work we are doing. If you are interested in attending the next YWAM-DTS in Guatemala, the school begins on March 31, 2022. Applications are still being received.
We are receiving team for the summer months as well as other times during the year. If you want to bring a team to serve at either location please contact us as soon as possible. We are also moving forward with conducing the Summer Spanish School and Outreach at the Antigua location. Please review the information on our website and plan on joining us if you want to learn basic Spanish.
Please pray for Tatiana, one of our volunteers, that was recently diagnosed with cancer and is currently receiving chemotherapy. It is a tough treatment with side effects but we are praying God will intervene and do whatever it takes to rid her from the cancer.
